Gatehouse IFA rebrands to South Devon Financial Planning

I can now formally announce that Gatehouse-IFA Ltd has rebranded to South Devon Financial Planning.

What does this mean?

In an operational sense, nothing will really change as we remain committed to being an independent financial planning firm that is directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The brand South Devon Financial Planning is in effect a trading style of Gatehouse-IFA Ltd which is registered with both the FCA and Companies House and has been since I originally incorporated in 2008.

Why change now?

This was something that I originally planned back in 2017. When we moved the business from network Private Solutions to become directly authorised with the FCA.

At the time I registered the trading style, it was always my intention to fully leverage and launch the brand once we had settled the business into the new regulatory framework. We have achieved a fair amount over the last three years in terms of updating and embedding practices, such as GDPR and MIFID, as you come to get used to in a highly regulated profession.

On a personal level, the change has enabled us to deliver a much better service to around 200 clients and their families because this is what we love to do.

What is new?

Well, as you can see, we’ve updated our logo and have a new website.

The new brand very much reflects our identity for the work that we do and the ongoing relationships we build, we just do not get involved in transactional work as many others do. This gives us more time to serve our clients in the best way.

What benefit can you expect to see?

Firstly, we are passionately committed to face-to-face advice within sensible guidelines. We also plan to develop our digital communications, including anything from secure messaging and document sends, to video mail, webinars, and client events when conditions allow.
